Exemption for repayment of part of the principal amount of loans for share houses and other investment real estate loans

May 15, 2019

We would like to deeply apologize to you for the serious problems and concerns about the shared house related loans and other matters.

We have prepared for your individual consultation regarding an exemption for repayment of part of the principal amount of your loan for share house or other investment real estate loan after coordinating with related parties. For customers who have suffered problems caused by the Bank's misconduct, we would like to sincerely offer an exemption for repayment of part of the principal amount of the loan based on the judgement of a fair and neutral third party through mediation by the civil court or an out-of-court settlement through a private ADR agency.

For customers who have used our share house loans or other investment real estate loans (including owner's mortgages whose residential area is less than 50% of the total area), we will separately send a “Notification of exemption for repayment of part of the principal amount of the loan.” Customers who wish to further discuss the exemption for repayment of part of the principal amount of the loan are kindly requested to contact the Office to Support Customer Owners of Share Houses and Others. We will adjust the schedule for the individual consultation upon receiving contact from the customer.

In addition, in order to examine the exemption for repayment of the partial amount of loan, we need the relevant materials to be provided by you. We will enclose a list of the documents we need when we send the “Notification of exemption for repayment of part of the principal amount of the loan” so please bring them with you to your consultation.
